ACAL conference • Darwin

Friday 10 and Saturday 11 September 2010

Our conference theme will focus on the issues of language, literacy and numeracy in linguistically and culturally diverse environments. It will consider the function of adult literacy in building capacity as well as its contribution towards regional and remote development.

This conference will provide an opportunity to reflect on the contexts in which adult literacy is situated outside of the major population centres and highlight ways that groups and organisations can work together, to negotiate the complexities involved in delivering in these environments to achieve positive outcomes.
